Another glimpse

A couple of weeks back, Noah was playing in the back yard with Dahlia. We had laid out some towels on the grass, as well as some toys. It was a pleasant, sunny day, and they were engrossed in their little world of happiness for what seemed like an age.

At one point, Noah rolled over onto his back, put his hands beneath his neck in the universal relaxed-reclining position, and while staring up at the fluffy white clouds in the middle of a deep blue sky, asked her this:
“Dahlia, is this the life?”
I was stunned – happily so – at the level of insight from a four-year-old, and consequently didn’t even hear her big-sisterly response.

Never mind, I know the right answer anyway: it most certainly is.

That is a great quote. Very nicely done and cool post. I also like your profile about random acts of kindness.

I hope when our kids look back they will look at moments like this and say Mommy and Daddy did alright!
